NYU Professor of Performance Studies Jose Esteban Muñoz illustrates a discussion of his recent book, Cruising Utopia, with performance clips from queer performers including My Barbarian, Kiki and Herb and Dynasty Handbag. In his book, Muñoz refers to these and other performers as "avatars of queer futurity." A Q & A and book signing will follow Professor Muñoz's presentation.
